Since PCAP’s inception in 2008, we have enabled tens of thousands of African individuals and disadvantaged people of all ethnic origins to improve their lives through education, leadership development and social engagement projects, workshops and events. Hope After Covid Project Impact
Hope After Covid is a project aimed at improving the wellbeing, mental health and social cohesion of people affected by Covid in South East London with free African wellbeing, relaxation and self-improvement sessions. Our Hope After Covid project won the King’s College London Civic Challenge prize for 2020-2021 for addressing the United Nations’ Strategic Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Wellbeing). So far, we have trained 55 participants with the following outcomes:
- Over 96% of participants reported increased capacity to monitor and manage their wellbeing and mental health;
- 97% of participants reduced their loneliness;
- Over 96% of participants reported enhanced capacity to use self-improvement techniques.
