We are delighted to share with you our Hope After Covid Evaluation Report – Year 2
This independent evaluation was carried out by Dr Juliana Mainard-Sardon, an independent evaluator and respected academic.
The report provides a strong and positive assessment of PCAP’s delivery of the Hope After Covid project, highlighting its impact on wellbeing, confidence, leadership development, and social connection across Medway and Swale.
Over the course of the project, more than 500 participants were engaged through community events, wellbeing support, youth activities, leadership workshops, and targeted one-to-one support. Participants reported significant improvements in mental wellbeing, confidence, motivation, and reduced social isolation.
The evaluation recognises PCAP’s distinctive approach, grounded in African philosophy, storytelling, and culturally affirming practice. This model was found to create welcoming, psychologically safe spaces where individuals and leaders felt valued, visible, and able to connect meaningfully with others.
The report concludes that Hope After Covid has delivered substantial and meaningful impact, positioning PCAP as a leadership, wellbeing, and systems-change organisation with a clear and effective delivery model.
